About DiffType

A small tool that does one thing well: diff stuff.

Why another diff tool?

Most online diff tools are slow, ad-heavy, or send your data who knows where. DiffType is small, fast, and focused. Three modes — text, JSON, array — each with the options you actually need.

Privacy

Your inputs are sent to the server only when you press Compare, and they are never stored, logged, or shared. Theme preference lives in localStorage only.

Keyboard shortcuts

  • ⌘ / Ctrl + Enter — Compare
  • ⌘ / Ctrl + Shift + S — Swap
  • ⌘ / Ctrl + Shift + K — Clear both
  • ⌘ / Ctrl + Shift + L — Toggle theme
